Account Executive – Advertising & Sponsorships
Summary:
This position is located in our Old Saybrook, CT office. In this position, you will sell traditional online ad space (i.e. IAB standard banners), CPL (Cost-Per-Lead) packages, as well as Sponsorships of live events, email newsletters, surveys, and white papers to established customers and new prospects. The position will handle entire sales process from proposal to close in order to reach or exceed sales quotas. This includes but is not limited to tracking activity, prepare, and maintain records for sales leads and account status.
Responsibilities:

Solicit and maintain contact with current and prospect key accounts to understand business needs.

Targets potential advertising clients and develops relationships in order to acquire new advertising accounts.

Candidate should be familiar with a variety of B2B sales concepts, practices, and procedures.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Sales territory typically includes US Only.

Travel may be required.
Qualifications:

A proven track record of successfully selling to local businesses

Demonstrated initiative and self-management skills.

Effective communication and client presentation skills.

Demonstrated persuasive communications capabilities.

Prospecting skills – high level cold calling to qualify and close new accounts.

Recent experience at consistently meeting and exceeding revenue quotas.

PC proficiency (MS Office and web based applications).

3 years of experience in the field.

Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Appointment Setter
Summary:This position is in our Brentwood, TN office. As an Appointment Setter, you will utilize your strong telephone communication skills to probe and understand prospects’ needs. You will learn how our customers train their employees and how they use electronic media to serve their clients. Based on the findings, an appointment will be set and given to a sales representative. You must be professional with an ability to handle a high volume of calls and deal with a significant amount of rejection.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of cold calling/appointment setting experience and/or sales support/lead generation experience.
- Minimum call volume of 135 outbound calls per day.
- Ability to set qualified appointments with the Decision Maker.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
- Drive to make money!!!!

Account Executive
Position Overview:
This position is based in our Brentwood, TN office. The successful candidate will sell HR training and compliance solutions to both existing customers and new prospects, focusing on California based corporations, trade and industry associations, and any other sales opportunities that may be identified.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze current target market situations and develop sales plans based on that analysis
- Collaborate with colleagues in inside sales, marketing, marketing services and editorial to develop effective new sales and client retention/loyalty strategies
- Make consultative sales calls to prospects and customers
- Negotiate and manage single and multiple year contracts
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the latest BLR products and technology
- Continually monitor competitive products and the marketplace for opportunity; provide feedback to senior management on significant market and product issues
- Build and maintain customer relationships and resolve customer service issues
- Meet sales goals, quotas, and objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 3 or more years of relevant sales experience
- Must be skilled at organization, presentation, demonstration and planning
- Must have demonstrated sales accomplishments
- Web based application and/or software sales knowledge is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Travel will likely be 10% to 20%.
