HCPro
CDI Education Specialist (Per Diem)
Looking for a new challenge as a CDI specialist? Do you like mentoring others and sharing your experiences as a CDI? Are you comfortable speaking in front of an audience? Do you like meeting new people? Come work with the leader in CDI education.

HCPro, which fully owns the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (ACDIS), is currently seeking applicants for their CDI Education Specialist position.

The CDI Education Specialist will teach CDI Boot Camps and serve as a subject matter expert for ACDIS. Current CDI Boot Camps include CDI Basics Boot Camp and ICD-10 for CDI Boot Camp, which are both based on MS-DRG methodology. The CDI Education Specialists will also have opportunities to customize class materials for non-traditional areas, such as LTAC, HCCs, and pediatrics. The CDI Education Specialist works closely with the Director of CDI Education for HCPro and the Director of ACDIS.

The per diem CDI Education Specialist position requires between 50 to 75% travel, and you are able to work remotely. Because we specialize in education and not consulting, our instructors have greater flexibility of their schedules and know weeks to months in advance when and where they will be traveling.

The CDI Boot Camps vary in length between two and four days. Instructors typically teach three classes per month. When not traveling, the CDI Education specialist assists with CDI educational projects, such as writing or reviewing articles, newsletters, and books; blogging; speaking on webinars, and other projects.

Candidates will preferably have at least five years experience as a CDI professional. Current RN licensure or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) through AHIMA is required. Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) credential and ICD-10-CM/PCS education preferred. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills with experience in public speaking and/or adult education.

Coding Instructors (Per Diem)

HCPro is seeking full-time or per diem adjunct Coding Instructors to serve as ICD-10 Coding Education Specialists. The primary function of this role is serving as instructor for our ICD-10-related boot camps. Enjoying teaching and education are a must, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills. Coding Instructors are home-based but full-time positions require approximately 50% travel and part-time adjunct positions require at least 4-6 weeks travel per year.

The objective of the course is to provide course participants with a detailed understanding of the Medicare "rules" with a particular emphasis on the operational application of those rules. HealthLeaders Media is seeking a research analyst to expand the existing capabilities of its Intelligence Unit. This position is located in our Danvers, MA office and will provide greater value to subscribers of the unit’s existing intelligence reports. Marketing Operations Specialist
We are currently seeking a Marketing Operations Specialist in our Danvers, MA office to be part of our highly productive and energized Shared Services department. This is an ideal position for a confident and self-motivated individual who has technical aptitude, is process oriented, and has the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment. Media Sales Representative
This position is located in our Danvers, MA office, however, we are open to a remotely located employee. HCPro is seeking an energetic and highly motivated Sales professional. This position is responsible for closing renewals and developing new business utilizing a consultative sales approach. Primary product will be booth/sponsorship sales for the ACDIS Annual Conference, as well as media opportunities throughout the year to exhibitors and other prospects. A current book of clients has been established – we are looking for a hunter to grow this business.

Media Sales Representative Responsibilities:

Lead Nurse Planner
This is a part-time contract position. HCPro is an accredited provider of continuing nursing education (CNE) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). A Lead Nurse Planner is required to ensure that ANCC criteria are met for all HCPro nursing educational programs. The Lead Nurse Planner is responsible, in conjunction with the Continuing Education Manager, for assuring that HCPro CNE activities comply with current American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation (COA) criteria. The Lead Nurse Planner for HCPro continuing nursing education activities will act as an integral member of the CNE Provider Unit. Participation in planning process will be through a combination of meetings / conference calls, phone calls, and emails.

Lead Nurse Planner Responsibilities:

  • Ensure HCPro’s CNE activities are planned according to current ANCC-COA criteria.
  • Direct the needs assessment data collection for HCPro’s provider unit.
  • Oversee orientation of all other Nurse Planners to current ANCC COA criteria and HCPro’s provider unit policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the overall provider unit evaluation process for each nursing activity.
  • Collaborate with the CE department for ANCC application process and maintenance of status as an accredited provider of continuing nursing education.
  • Participate in initial planning calls/meetings with provider unit staff (CE department, editor, and content experts) for new product ideas identifying the purpose, teaching strategies, target audience, etc.
  • Collaborate with editorial contacts and content experts to establish program outlines, content, learning objectives, and evaluations/quizzes for each activity at various stages throughout the planning process to ensure that the content is appropriate for the target audience and that the activity format meets ANCC criteria.
  • Participate in post-program meetings or evaluation summary discussions with the provider unit for each activity to review learner feedback and suggestions for future topics of interest.
  • In the event an activity is co-provided, the Lead Nurse Planner will inform the other planning committee members that, although some tasks may be shared, HCPro has the final responsibility and accountability to ensure the criteria are met, including, at a minimum, determination of the educational objectives and content; selection of the activity planners and content experts/presenters; awarding of contact hours; record-keeping procedures, and evaluation methods and categories. (Currently, HCPro does not co-provide continuing nursing education activities.)
  • For HCPro educational activities receiving commercial support, the Lead Nurse Planner will ensure the integrity of the activity is maintained and take necessary precautions to prevent bias in the educational content. (Currently, HCPro does not accept commercial support for continuing nursing education activities)
  • In the event that activity planners and/or content experts/presenters disclose actual or potential conflicts of interest, resolve the conflict of interest and/or assist another Nurse Planner in resolving disclosed conflicts of interest; the awarding of contact hours; record keeping procedures, and evaluation methods and categories.
  • In the event HCPro CNE activities receive commercial support, the Lead Nurse Planner will insure the integrity of the activity is maintained
  • In the event that activity planners and/or content experts/presenters, anyone in a position to control the content of an activity, identify actual or potential conflicts of interest, evaluate the real or potential conflicts of interest (COI) and apply resolution strategies if COI is present

Job Requirements:

  • The Lead Nurse Planner must be “a currently registered RN with a master’s degree or higher, and with either the baccalaureate or graduate degree in nursing, who has the authority within the Provider Unit to ensure adherence to the ANCC Accreditation Program Criteria in the provision of CNE.” Additionally, the Lead Nurse Planner must have education or experience in the field of education or adult learning.


National Account Manager
This position is responsible for acquiring new customers and supporting existing customers. The National Account Manager works with key stakeholders to schedule scoping calls with potential clients and create contracts using existing templates. This position works in defined markets and with certain products within the healthcare industry. The National Account Manager is also responsible for understanding the customer base and applicable HCPro products and services for that specific customer base. Products/services include: On-site classroom training, online learning and custom education as well as enterprise solutions for certain Healthcare related topics such as ICD-10, HIPAA etc.

National Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Grow customer base by acquiring new customers and supporting existing customers via outbound and inbound calls and the web.
  • Obtain a fundamental understanding of key products and services in order to conduct quality conversations and provide information in a consultative way.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Product) to provide feedback from customers.
  • Partner with Product/National Sales/Licensing sales team members to refer and or include the proper stakeholders for appropriate opportunities/leads in an efficient and effective manner as more fully outlined in the annual incentive compensation plan.
  • Partner with other Sales Account Managers to leverage relationships, information, and coverage of the market. Manage multiple campaign lists and databases/programs.

This position is located in our Danvers, MA office. Media Operations Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Think and act as a client advocate with our paying customers’ best interests in mind at all times, exceeding internal and external client expectations

We are currently seeking a Marketing Automation Assistant to join our team. In this position, you will assist with the administration of our marketing automation system (Eloqua) and with the setup and development of lead generation, nurturing, lead scoring, asset creation. In this role, you will become one of our marketing automation “Super Users”, maintaining it, evolving it, and driving best practices.
