Content Creation/Management
Content Production Specialist
We are currently seeking a Content Production Specialist. The Content Production Specialist is responsible for working with assigned deadlines to ensure the timely content production for print, CD, and Web. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to independently organize work and efficiently manage time to meet production schedules and tight deadlines, while working on several products concurrently.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete content production assignments for print, CD, and Web involving word processing, desktop publishing, and integrated software packages (e.g., Adobe CC, Quark, MS Office, and other emerging technologies).
  • Proficient with commonly used desktop publishing concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Responsible for thorough file management and maintenance throughout production lifecycle.
  • Independently organize work and efficiently manage time to meet production schedules and tight deadlines, while working on several products concurrently.
  • Use and help improve or refine instructions and guidelines to perform job functions.
  • Primary job functions often require exercising independent judgment.
  • Some creativity and latitude is expected.

Required Skills:

Editorial
Senior Managing Editor
This position is located in Old Saybrook, CT. As Senior Managing Editor, you will direct and supervise a team of legal editors, managing editors, as well as in-house and freelance editorial staff. This role is responsible for product oversight of assigned BLR products and adhering to production schedules.

In this role, you will develop, support and implement editorial action plans to contribute to the attainment of revenue/profitability goals. You will also be responsible for the development and adherence to annul financial and time budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of employment law, including compensation, FMLA, ADA, and discrimination.
  • Law degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the editorial, production, marketing, and business development process and ability to meet deadlines.

Environmental Compliance Editor
We have an opportunity for a Legal Editor in its Environmental, Health and Safety group. This position is located in our Old Saybrook, CT office.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, write and edit compliance and training materials, regulatory analysis, news stories and features for content delivered in print, online and in mobile applications
  • Produce a high volume of well-written and accurate copy quickly and consistently
  • Develop ideas for new products and product enhancements, including live events and webinars
  • Monitor legal, regulatory and industry trends and developments

Inside Sales Representative

Essential Job Functions:

Product Manager, EHS
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Environmental Health & Safety Team. This position is located in our Old Saybrook, CT office. The Product Manager is tasked with managing existing products, driving new product development and defining product roadmaps that align to the company/departmental strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet with customers and prospects to understand their needs and workflows. Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning for assigned products.
  • Evaluate new ideas and proposals, in conjunction with members of the EHS team.
  • Drive key proposals through the product development process. This includes idea generation, market and competitor analysis, business case creation, and, if approved, drafting user requirements from market and customer research for the Web development team.
  • Managing the product lifecycle including authoring marketing requirement documents, product testing/release/launch plans and tactical activities.
  • Develop and implement a go-to-market plan for new products, working with all departments to execute.
  • Document customer use cases for all assigned products through market research and customer interactions (e.g. focus groups, interviews, surveys, etc.).
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to help them, build sales tools and training materials that communicate key benefits, develop innovative marketing programs and tradeshow/event campaigns, create messaging and content for product collateral, develop pricing and packaging strategies and conduct product training and be available as-needed for Sales support
  • Track and analyze product performance against financial and market share goals Identify, analyze and implement partner relationships for the product line.
  • Collect customer and prospective customer requirements, conduct market research, oversee launch activities such as product positioning, internal training, beta programs, and sales enablement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 yrs. Relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Regulations a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; including presentation skills to large and diverse audiences
