Survey Says: Dramatic Increase in Benefits for Part-Timers
Results from HR Daily Advisor>® Survey Help HR Managers Assess Benefits
Old Saybrook, CT—December 13, 2010—The HR Daily Advisor® announced today the results of their October-November 2010 Benefits for Part-Time Employees survey, which will help HR managers compare their part-time benefits package to current trends.
According to the survey, the number of organizations offering benefits to part-time employees has dramatically increased, with 85% of respondents reporting pro-rated holiday and vacation time available to part-time staff in 2010. Three years ago, that number was much lower, with only about 35% of employers reporting these same benefits. Similar increases occurred in the provision of paid sick leave, health insurance and life insurance to part-time employees when compared with the previous survey, conducted in late 2007.
