Jurors in New Jersey are paid $5 per day for grand and petite courts, with an additional $35 per day on the fourth consecutive day and thereafter.
Public employers. Public employers are required to excuse any full-time employee for jury service in any state court, any federal district court or the United States District Court for New Jersey, or any court of another state. The public employer must pay the employee's usual compensation for each day the person is present for jury service, in lieu of the amount of per diem juror's fees (NJ Rev. Stat. Sec. 2B:20-16).
