Comparison: State vs. Federal

· Rules. Wyoming has not received EPA approval of its underground storage tank (UST) program to administer and enforce its UST program in lieu of the federal program under Subtitle I of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Therefore, UST owners and operators must comply with federal standards in addition to any state regulations that apply. DEQ currently awaits final determination of the state’s application for EPA approval.
