Comparison: State vs. Federal

Rules. Pennsylvania incorporates by reference the federal containment building rules. The additional state provisions relate to changing various federal compliance dates of February 18, 1993, to dates of either January 11, 1997, or July 11, 1997.

Administration and enforcement. DEP's Bureau of Waste Management administers and enforces the containment building requirements in Pennsylvania.
