• Rules. Virginia follows the federal requirements for hazardous waste generators, with additional state rules for notification, on-site storage (accumulation), permitted transporters and treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs), contingency plan notifications, and conditionally exempt small quantity generator (CESQG) disposal.
• Administration and enforcement. DEQ's Division of Land Protection and Revitalization administers and enforces the hazardous waste generator rules in Virginia.
