Hazardous waste tank rules: 40 CFR 264.190 to 264.200 and 40 CFR 265.190 to 265.202 (interim status)

Generator accumulation rules for hazardous waste tanks: 40 CFR 262.34

Organic air emissions standards: 40 CFR 264.1030 to 264.1090 and 40 CFR 265.1030 to 265.1090 (interim status)

Permit requirements:

Permit for hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs): 42 USC 6925

Exemption for generators: 40 CFR 262.34

Applicable rules:

TSDFs: 40 CFR 264.190 to 264.200; 40 CFR 265.190 to 265.200 and 40 CFR 265.202 (interim status)

Hazardous waste large quantity generators (LQGs): 40 CFR 265.190 to 265.200 and 40 CFR 265.202

Hazardous waste small quantity generators (SQGs): 40 CFR 262.34(d)(3) and 40 CFR 265.201

Definitions and distinctions: 40 CFR 260.10

Requirements for tank installation: 40 CFR 264.192 and 40 CFR 265.192 (interim status)

Tank system assessment or certification: 40 CFR 264.191 and 40 CFR 265.191 (interim status)

Secondary containment:

Applicability to LQGs and TSDFs: 40 CFR 262.34(a)(1)(ii), 40 CFR 264.193, and 40 CFR 265.193 (interim status)

Applicability to SQGs: 40 CFR 262.34(d)(3) and 40 CFR 265.201

Compliance schedule for new and existing tanks: 40 CFR 264.193(a)(1) and 40 CFR 264.193(a)(2); 40 CFR 265.193(a)(1) and 40 CFR 265.193(a)(2) (interim status)
