Comparison: State vs. Federal

• Rules. Delaware requires owners and operators of land treatment facilities to comply with the federal land treatment facility rules. In addition, owners and operators of hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs) that engage in land treatment activities must comply with additional permit application requirements and pay permit application and annual facility fees. • Administration and enforcement. DNREC's Waste Management Section administers and enforces Delaware's land treatment facility requirements.
