Rules. Louisiana's rules for hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs) include the federal rules and some more stringent state requirements. The state's rules cover annual reports, containers, contingency plan notification, corrective action, disposal prohibitions, facility location standards, disposal facility construction and design, groundwater standards, closure and post-closure standards, fees, financial assurance, facility security, personnel training, notification, and standards for receiving and monitoring incoming wastes.

Administration and enforcement. DEQ's Office of Environmental Compliance administers and enforces the hazardous waste TSDF requirements in Louisiana.
