• Rules. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation follows the federal hazardous waste TSDF requirements. However, the state also has a few of its own requirements for hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs), including those regarding annual reports, contingency plans, closure and post-closure standards, comanagement of other materials, financial responsibility, permits and fees, operating record, and pollution prevention.
• Administration and enforcement. TDEC's Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste Management administers and enforces the TSDF requirements in Tennessee.
