Montana Counseling Services/ EAPs: What you need to know

Human resources generalists, as well as employee assistance program (EAP) counselors, managers, and directors, can keep abreast of the issues related to EAPs by joining a chapter of the EAPA. This association also provides guidance to employers that have not yet set up EAPs in their own companies.

Although Montana has not yet established a chapter, the Inland Northwest chapter in Washington serves Western Montana. The Healthy for Life Employee Assistance Program is included in the state employee benefit plan and is available to active employees, retirees, spouses, and dependents. Services include a crisis hotline, counseling services, health coaching, prenatal program, weight management program, diabetes management program, resources for self-driven health, and legal and financial assistance.
