Missouri Notices (Posting): What you need to know

Missouri requires that all employers post several notices in the workplace informing employees of their rights and obligations under various employment laws. The notices must be placed conspicuously and in enough places to be easily seen by employees as they enter and exit the workplace. Most of these posters are available online from the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations at http://www.labor.mo.gov.

Child labor. Employers of workers under the age of 16 must post a list of all such employees (MO Rev. Stat. Sec. 294.060).
Discrimination. Employers are required to post a summary of the Missouri Fair Employment Practices Act, prepared or approved by the Commission on Human Rights, indicating that discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, ancestry, or handicap is prohibited (MO Code of Regs. Tit. 8 Sec. 60-3.010). Employers engaged in the business of sale or rental property must post the Discrimination in Housing poster. In addition, employers doing business in places that are open to the public must display the Discrimination in Public Accommodations poster.
E-Verify. State law requires certain employers to register and participate in the federal E-Verify work authorization program. Upon completion of E-Verify registration, covered employers must post a notice of E-Verify participation as well as a Right to Work poster distributed by the federal Office of Special Counsel. Both notices must be displayed in at least English and Spanish.
