New Mexico Notices (Posting): What you need to know

New Mexico requires that employers post a number of notices in the workplace informing employees of their rights and obligations under certain employment laws. The posters must be placed conspicuously, permanently, and in enough places to be easily seen by employees as they enter and exit the facility. Most of the state's mandated posters are available online from the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions at the following location: http://www.dws.state.nm.us).

Child labor. All employers must post lists of their minor employees who are working by virtue of work permits (NM Stat. Sec. 50-6-9).
Discrimination. All employers with four or more employees must post notices, available from the New Mexico Human Rights Commission, displaying excerpts from the Human Rights Act and providing other relevant information (NM Stat. Sec. 28-1-14).

Human Trafficking. New Mexico employers subject to the state Minimum Wage Act must post a Human Trafficking Notice in a conspicuous manner clearly visible to both the public and to employees. The notice must be posted in English, Spanish, and any other written language used by at least 10 percent of the workers or patrons of the facility. The notice should contain the following language:
NOTICE ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING: OBTAINING FORCED LABOR OR SERVICES IS A CRIME UNDER NEW MEXICO AND FEDERAL LAW.
