Download Now Effective March 8, 2012, all drivers are prohibited from using an interactive wireless communication device to write, send, or read written text-based messages or to view the Internet (PA Stat. Tit. 75 Sec. 3316).
Entering a number or name into a cell phone for voice communication is not prohibited under this law.
Note: This law supersedes and preempts any local ordinances restricting the use of interactive wireless devices by drivers in the state.
