Washington Political Activity: What you need to know

There is no legal requirement that employers in Washington state allow employees time off to vote.
Washington is a “vote by mail” state and has thus repealed a statute (RCW Sec. 49.28.120) that formerly required employers to allow employees up to 2 hours of time off to vote while polling places were open.
