Nevada Training: What you need to know

The federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) restructures the many workforce development programs into an integrated work training and education system. The Act requires statewide and local partnerships to develop their own state strategy for a comprehensive state workforce investment system, with funds distributed to each state. The Act calls for each state to establish its own work-training program. At the local level, the partnership consists of chief elected officials and local boards. WIA replaces the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA).

Nevada JobConnect provides a wealth of opportunities and information for employers and individuals seeking employment, including career development information, job search resources, training programs, and in some cases unemployment benefits.
