Missouri MSDS : What you need to know

· Rules. Missouri's chemical reporting requirements mirror federal community right-to-know requirements. Employers must provide material safety data sheets (MSDSs) to their local fire chief or LEPC on request.

Missouri is not a "state plan" state; that is, it does not have a federally approved state occupational safety and health regulatory program. Consequently, the federal OSH Act governs workplace safety and health, including MSDS requirements, in the private sector workplace. · Administration and enforcement. DPS administers and enforces the state's community right-to-know rules. OSHA administers and enforces occupational safety and health, including MSDS requirements, in the private sector workplace. Missouri has no worker right-to-know program for its public sector workplaces.
