The state has adopted the federal rules that require employers to report fatalities or the hospitalization of three or more employees to the nearest state OSHA office within 8 hours of either the occurrence or the time it became known to any agent of the employer.
Additionally, employers must notify the Arizona Industrial Commission/Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) of any accident where an employee sustains an injury in the operation of a mechanical power press. This notification must be made within 30 days of the accident.
ADOSH administers and enforces workplace safety and health rules for private and public sector workplaces in the state.
