Recordkeeping: Are You Ready for the New 2007 EEO-1 Reporting Rules?

2007 EEO-1 Reporting Rules Audio Conference on CD

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) just approved a new version of the EEO-1 employer report - the first major revision to this form in 40 years. Various changes to the form will affect how you classify managers and supervisors and categorize the race and ethnicity of employees before your next report is due in September 2007.

What’s changed now about the ways you can collect race-related data from your workers? Are you ready to comply with the EEO-1 confidentiality requirements? How does the new form affect your affirmative action obligations? What steps does the law require you to take to insure the accuracy of your report? And, how soon should you get started on your 2007 filing?

This 90-minute audio conference will give you practical, hands-on advice for complying with the new EEO-1 requirements. Our expert - an experienced employment law attorney - will share the most effective strategies for collecting EEO-1 data from your employees, conducting legal in-house surveys, if required, and complying with the reporting rules without violating the law or exposing your organization to litigation risks. You will also have a chance at the end of the call to submit your specific questions, via phone or email.

You and Your Colleagues Will Learn:

  • Who must file the new EEO-1 report (and the basic steps of filing it in 2007)
  • How the ethnicity, job description, and race categories have changed on the new form
  • The new ways you must classify your managers and supervisors
  • Which methods of collecting data from your workers are the most affordable and legally compliant
  • The potential impact of the EEO-1 revisions on your affirmative action policies
  • The extra steps you should consider to comply with the EEO-1 changes if you are a federal contractor
  • How you should comply with the EEO-1 confidentiality rules
  • How to avoid mistakes that could subject you to severe fines and penalties, or even lawsuits

This audio conference was recorded on Tuesday, February 20, 2007
