Video Examines How Presidential Election will Impact HR & Employment Law

Brentwood, TN —October 22, 2012—What are the implications for employers in terms of human resources (HR) and employment law topics as the result of the upcoming presidential election? What should employers expect depending on whether Barack Obama or Mitt Romney is elected?

In a recent video, BLR's Patricia Trainor, J.D., SPHR, Senior Managing Editor, Human Resources, explains where the two presidential candidates stand on issues related to HR and employment law, such as:

  • pending 'right to know' regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regarding employee classification
  • proposed affirmative action regulations for government contractors, and
  • the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) reach regarding issues such as social media policies and employee handbooks.

Trainor also explains how the presidential election results could impact employers in these areas. The video can be found here: How will election impact HR and employment law?
