BLR Receives Dalton Pen Award for HR Web-Zine

Warwick Publishing has announced the winners of its 2002 Dalton Pen Awards, a highly-respected international communication awards program, and Business & Legal Reports (BLR) won an Award of Merit in the category of "Electronic Communication—Web-Zines" for its HR e-Lert.

BLR’s HR e-Lert is a free weekly e-newsletter that delivers the latest developments in employment law, reports on HR and employer trends, and provides solutions to everyday HR challenges. The current edition of the e-Lert is available at www.blr.com/elerts/hr.

"The first HR e-Lert was sent in April 2000 to less than 200 subscribers," says BLR’s Chris Ceplenski, who edits and writes articles for the e-Lert. "Since that time it has experienced phenomenal growth—today more than 30,000 human resources professionals, compensation professionals, and employers subscribe to the service nationwide."

"The primary goal of the HR e-Lert is to deliver quality information to our audience of human resources (HR) professionals, compensation and benefits professionals, and employers," Ceplenski continues. "In so doing, our goal is to help our subscribers perform their jobs more effectively. I think our subscribers recognize this, and it has been key to the e-Lert’s success. It is an honor to be recognized with an award such as the Dalton Pen."

BLR (www.blr.com) is a publisher of compliance and training products for HR, compensation, environmental and safety managers. The Web sign-up page to receive the HR e-Lert is www.blr.com/freenews/index.cfm?area=hr
