Safety.BLR.com Wins Award for Commitment to Worker Safety

Compliance Magazine Commitment to Worker Safety Award

Safety.BLR.com has won the Compliance Magazine Commitment to Worker Safety Award in the category of Online Services.

The Commitment to Worker Safety Award recognizes achievements in safety equipment product development. A panel of impartial industry experts evaluated each entry based on innovation, impact on worker safety, and ease of use.

The 2004 judging panel consisted of Michael O'Toole, Ph.D., Professor of Safety, Purdue University Calumet; Edmund Dorner, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Safety, Illinois State University; and Eugene Satrun, CIH, CSP, Industrial Hygienist, ExxonMobil Corp.

This is the sixth annual Compliance Magazine Commitment Award Competition. The winners were announced in the September issue of the magazine.

This is the second major award bestowed upon Safety.BLR.com since its launch in August 2003. The website previously was honored with a Gold Award for "Most Innovative Use of the Medium by an Online Subscription Newsletter or Website" in the 2003 Online Publications Awards Competition, cosponsored by The Newsletter on Newsletters and the Subscription Website Publishers Association.
