South Carolina Minimum Wage: What you need to know

The South Carolina Payment of Wages Act requires that employers with five or more employees post in the workplace a notice summarizing the state's labor laws (SC Code Sec. 41-1-10). Employers can obtain a notice that meets the Act's requirements by contacting the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, or through the Department's website at http://www.llr.state.sc.us.
In addition, an employer having any employee who is covered by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) must post notices outlining the federal minimum wage regulations. The notices must be posted conspicuously and in enough places so employees can see them as they enter and exit the workplace. Employers can obtain these posters from:
