The following workers are exempt from South Dakota's minimum wage provisions (SD Cod. Laws Sec. 60-11-3):
• Outside salespersons
• Employees working for less than minimum wage under special permit
The state Department of Labor may issue special certificates allowing employment at wages below minimum for:
