Employees must be paid for a minimum of 4 hours if they are required to report but are sent home for lack of work and similar reasons before 4 hours elapse; but if the employee is regularly scheduled for less than 4 hours a day, the employee must be paid for the hours regularly scheduled.
The minimum daily wage should be calculated as payment at the employee's regular rate for the hours worked, plus payment at the minimum wage for the hours not worked (DC Admin. Code Tit. 7 Sec. 907).
