Discrimination. State agencies must post information regarding the prohibition of employment discrimination under the Fair Employment Practices Act in a place where notices for employees are usually posted. The poster is available from the state Commission on Equal Opportunity (GA Code Sec. 45-19-27; GA Comp. Rules and Regs. Sec. 186-1-.10).
Drug testing. A notice of the employer's substance abuse testing policy must be posted conspicuously on the employer's premises. Additionally, before drug testing, employees and applicants must be given a one time notice of the testing (GA Code Sec. 34-9-414).
Equal pay. Employers must post a copy of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act informing employees of the prohibition against discriminatory wage differences based on gender. The notice is available from the state and must be posted where it is available to employees and applicants for employment (GA Code Sec. 34-5-7).
E-Verify. State law requires certain employers to register and participate in the federal E-Verify work authorization program. Upon completion of E-Verify registration, covered employers must post a notice of E-Verify participation as well as a Right to Work poster distributed by the federal Office of Special Counsel.
