Wages may be paid in cash, or by check redeemable without charge, at a bank or elsewhere (VT Stat. Tit. 21 Sec. 343).
Direct deposit. Employers must have written authorization from employees to use direct deposit (VT Stat. Tit. 21 Sec. 342).
An electronic wage statement may be issued in lieu of paper if the statement is available at the time wages are paid; the employee has electronic access to the statement, such as at a computer terminal, at no cost to the employee; and each individual employee’s privacy is protected and kept confidential.
