• Rules. To date, the federal government's involvement in renewable energy programs has been limited to voluntary programs and providing financial incentives for renewable energy generation. The Commonwealth of Kentucky has released a plan for creating efficient, sustainable energy, which indirectly addresses some climate change issues.
• Administration and enforcement. Kentucky's Energy and Environment Cabinet will be responsible for implementing the strategies outlined in the commonwealth's plan for creating efficient, sustainable energy.
