• Rules: In Pennsylvania, all spills of petroleum of 5 gallons or more with the potential to pollute must be reported to the appropriate DEP regional office.
Water companies, municipalities, and industrial users located downstream and within 20 miles of an AST facility must be notified within 2 hours of a release that enters a water supply or that threatens the water supply of downstream users.
