Utah has adopted the federal hazardous materials regulations and the federal motor carrier safety regulations, with the exception of some safety regulation exemptions. See the state section HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TRANSPORTERS and the national section IMPORTS AND EXPORTS OF CHEMICALS for more information. In addition, a security plan may be required by hazardous materials transporters. The plan must include an assessment of possible transportation security risks for hazmat shipments.
