Comparison: State vs. Federal

Rules. Oklahoma has adopted by reference the federal rules for containment buildings. In addition, owners and operators of containment buildings must comply with the hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility (TSDF) permit application requirements and pay several state facility fees. The state's more stringent permit standards and fees are reviewed in the state section TSDF PERMITS.

Administration and enforcement. DEQ's Land Protection Division administers and enforces the containment building rules in Oklahoma.
