Rules. Florida has adopted by reference the federal rules for hazardous waste generators, with a few additions that make the state's rules more stringent. The state's more stringent rules apply to: notification, additional information for the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), on-site storage, and conditionally exempt small quantity generators (CESQGs). The state has defined "episodic generator."

Administration and enforcement. Florida DEP's Division of Waste Management administers and enforces the hazardous waste generator rules in Florida.
