Rules. Tennessee's regulations for hazardous waste generators are the same as the federal regulations with additional state requirements in connection with notifications, annual reports, hazardous waste reduction plans, on-site storage of wastes, off-site shipments, pollution prevention, conditionally exempt small quantity generators (CESQGs), and fees.

Administration and enforcement. The Division of Solid Waste Management of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) administers and enforces Tennessee's hazardous waste management program.
