· Rules. Alaska has adopted by reference the federal hazardous waste storage rules, including those for on-site storage by generators. To review the federal hazardous waste storage requirements, see the national section HAZARDOUS WASTE STORAGE. See the national section ACCUMULATION TIME to review the specific time periods that a generator may accumulate (store) hazardous waste on-site without a permit.
· Administration and enforcement. DEC does not have an EPA-authorized hazardous waste program, although it maintains a hazardous waste information line. EPA’s Region 10 office administers and enforces the hazardous waste storage rules in Alaska.
