Rules. Mississippi adopts by reference the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule, effective in the state as of June 24, 2018, which includes standards that allow generators to treat hazardous waste on-site.

The state adopts by reference the federal hazardous waste treatment rules for both permitted and interim-status hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs).
