Administration and enforcement. EPA's Region 7 office enforces the federal land disposal restrictions in Iowa. EPA enforces the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act hazardous waste management requirements because the state has not had EPA authorization to implement its own hazardous waste management program since 1985 and has no plans to apply for EPA authorization in the near future.
