Rules. Arizona has adopted the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) federal listed waste regulations. See the national section LISTED WASTES to review the federal listing criteria. Arizona has adopted the federal delisting rules by reference. Generators may request a specific waste at a specific facility be excluded from hazardous waste management. EPA encourages that ADEQ be contacted before filing a petition with EPA Region 9. For specific requirements to follow when filing a petition, see the national section DELISTING PETITIONS.
