The state of Missouri offers an EAP for its employees. The EAP entitles an employee and any member of the employee’s household six counseling sessions per episode per calendar year. The EAP is designed to give employees access to short-term mental health benefits. The EAP may be utilized by an employee experiencing personal areas of concern such as health, marital, family, or financial problems; substance abuse, legal issues, stress, grief and loss issues; and emotional disturbances.
