Discrimination. If the Commission for Human Rights finds that an employer has engaged in a discriminatory practice, it may require the employer to post a notice (SD Cod. Laws Sec. 20-13-42).
Safety and health. Employers are required to display informational posters in visible places promoting safety in the workplace. If smoking is prohibited in a building, signs announcing the policy must be posted (SD Cod. Laws Sec. 62-2-11).
Unemployment compensation. Employers must post notices in accessible places providing employees with information about the state's unemployment insurance law including provision of unemployment regulations (SD Cod. Laws Sec. 61-7-1).
