The Delaware Emergency Alert System (DENS) conveys emergency information via designated broadcast radio stations. Comcast places emergency information on crawls appearing on all channels of its cable television system.
Notification by phone. DENS also has an automated emergency telephone (cellular and land line) notification system to send emergency information by geographical location to listed phone numbers. Cell phone users must register for the service online. Currently, Delaware does not have a text message emergency alert system.
