New Mexico Advertising: What you need to know

New Mexico law prohibits employers or employment agencies from printing or publishing (or causing to be printed or published) any notice or advertisement relating to employment that indicates a preference, limitation, specification, or discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental handicap, or serious medical condition, or, if the employer has 50 or more employees, spousal affiliation, unless based on a bona fide occupational qualification (NM Stat. Sec. 28-1-7).
