Iowa has implemented a telework program for state employees with specific parameters, guidelines, and an agreement available atdas.iowa.gov.
Iowa Stat. § 91A.3(6) provides that employee expenses that have been authorized by the employer and incurred by the employee must be reimbursed in advance or no later than 30 days after the employee submits a claim. A local attorney can provide specific guidance on whether remote expenses must be reimbursed.
