Private and public (state and local government) sector employers are regulated under North Carolina’s occupational safety and health rules for cranes and derricks in construction. The state has a federally approved safety and health regulatory program. The state has adopted the federal cranes and derricks in construction rules by reference (13 NCAC 07F. 0201).
The North Carolina Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Division, administers the crane and derrick requirements in the state.
