Power outages. Information about power outages should be directed to the Alabama Power Company Power Outage hotline at 800-888-2726 or Alabama Power Reservoir Information hotline at 800-525-3711. Alabama Rural Electric Cooperatives can be contacted at 800-410-2732.

The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) and its Center for Emergency Preparedness coordinate information and services in the event of threats to public health (contagious disease) and man-made health emergencies (oil spills, hazardous substance release, and terrorist acts).
