Alaska Emergency Preparedness: What you need to know

Alaska has adopted the federal OSHA regulations for emergency action and fire prevention plans in 8 AAC 61.1010(b).  Although Alaska has not imposed any additional requirements, Alaska employers should also review the pre-planning guidelines contained in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 101, Life Safety Code, and NFPA 1620, Recommended Practice for Pre-Incident Planning.
