Connecticut Emergency Preparedness: What you need to know

Connecticut has adopted by reference the federal OSHA regulations on emergency action and fire prevention plans for public sector employers (31-46a-228 RCSA). In addition, Connecticut requires employers to comply with the National Fire Protection Association's Standard 101 - Life Safety. This consensus standard has been adopted as a state regulation in 29-292-8d RCSA and is enforced by the State Fire Marshal.
