Maryland has adopted by reference the federal rules for electrical safety in general industry workplaces (COMAR 09.12.31). Maryland employers are subject to requirements that are identical to the federal rules.
The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation/Division of Labor and Industry administers safety and health rules in private and public sector workplaces in the state.
