North Carolina has adopted by reference the federal OSHA electrical safety standard in 13 NCAC 7F.0101 (General Industry) and 13 NCAC 7F.0201 (Construction). Employers are subject to state electrical safety requirements that are identical to the federal rule.
Workplace safety and health rules are administered by the Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSH) of the North Carolina Department of Labor in private and public sector workplaces in the state.
