New Mexico has adopted the federal OSHA regulations on machine guarding in the New Mexico Occupational Safety and Health Act, NMSA 50-9-13 and 11 NMAC 5.2.9. No additional state requirements apply.
The New Mexico Occupational Health and Safety Bureau (OHSB) administers and enforces workplace safety and health rules in the state.
