California Material Handling - General: What you need to know

California has adopted its own rules for material handling equipment, such as powered industrial trucks (including forklifts), cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment, that are stricter than federal rules. The state standards must be at least as strict as the federal standards; otherwise, the federal standards apply.
